Well, it didn’t take nine months, but it still feels like a birth of sorts. Or the turning over of a new leaf.
If you’re a regular visitor (thank you, love you) to the Travelling Mom, you’ve likely noticed something different. At least I hope you did. If you’ve just found me, hello! Welcome.
After many months of intensive font scrutiny, color-wheel studies, and manual article & post transfers (don’t ask), I’m so happy – no, I’m ecstatic – to present my new blog site and design. I’m kind of in love with it, which is a bit strange since I’ve been staring at for months already, but the bloom hasn’t faded. I think it looks fabulous.
I’ve been planning this new site in my mind for over a year, but it was my time at the ROAR Retreat in Costa Rica in September 2014, where push finally came to shove. Change was overdue, and I had to get over my fear of taking the next step.
Thanks to ROAR and the encouragement of the amazing women I met there, including my fabulous web designer Aimee Giese of Giesemedia, I followed my north star. The results are modest in the scheme of things, but very meaningful to me, and I’m delighted. Heartfelt gratitude to Aimee, Andrea, Nadia, Danielle, Stephane, Paolo and Zara, for helping me along the way.
So, the new site will continue to offer my best family travel wisdom, tips, destination and gear reviews, fab giveaways (next one coming soon!), and your feedback is always, always welcome. If you have travel questions, or want to see an article about a particular topic, don’t be shy. Leave a comment, drop me an email, or tweet me. I would love to hear from you.
A bientôt! (aka See you soon!)
Claudia, the travelling mom
